You can take IT service to meet your RISE requirement for graduation. IT Service allows students to use the IT skills and knowledge gained from courses to help older adults learn to manage the technology in their lives. Students will develop handouts and discussions and hone their communication and presentation skills while making an impact in our community. Students will research issues facing seniors in managing their technology. IT Service provides students a vehicle to improve some of the soft skill that employers are seeking. IT Service allows students to apply IT skills, development concepts and techniques learned from prior CIT courses to provide technical skills training to older adults at local senior centers. Students develop presentation and
communication skills. IT Service also encourages life time learning and service to the community. Students will research issues facing seniors and technology and work directly with seniors helping develop their technology skills.
